1992 Buick LeSabre Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 1992 Buick LeSabre supports onboard programming for remote keyless entry fobs. The procedure uses the Data Link Connector (DLC) located under the dashboard. Follow the steps carefully to program one or two remote fobs.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Locate the Data Link Connector (DLC) beneath the driver’s side dashboard. You will be using specific terminals within the connector—refer to your vehicle’s layout for positioning. Note: the terminals are not labeled on the connector itself.
- Step 2: Using a fused jumper wire, connect terminal G to terminal A on the DLC. Within approximately 2 seconds, the vehicle will automatically lock and unlock the doors to confirm entry into programming mode.
- Step 3: Press any button on the first remote fob. The door locks will cycle (lock and unlock) again to confirm successful programming of that remote.
- Step 4: If you have a second remote fob, press any button on it. The locks will once again cycle to indicate that the second remote has also been programmed.
- Step 5: Disconnect the jumper wire from the DLC.
- Step 6: Test each remote fob by pressing the lock or unlock buttons to ensure proper function.
Additional Notes: A maximum of two remotes can be programmed to this vehicle using this procedure. The ignition key does not require programming for this year. Always verify remote compatibility before beginning the programming steps.
