Important Notice: This procedure will erase all previously stored remotes. Any functioning remotes must be reprogrammed during the same session to remain operational.

Programming Instructions:

  • Step 2: Ground the terminal in the connector by attaching it to a metal surface such as a nearby bolt or the trunk latch. Keep the connector grounded throughout the programming process.
  • Step 3: Once the wire is grounded, the vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically, indicating that it has entered programming mode.
  • Step 4: Press any button on the first remote fob. The doors will lock and unlock once to confirm the remote has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote, including any existing remotes. Be sure not to disconnect the ground during this process.
  • Step 6: After programming all remotes, remove the ground connection from the programming wire to exit programming mode.
  • Step 7: Test all remote fobs to ensure they operate the door locks properly.

Additional Tips: Up to two remotes can typically be programmed for this model. If the doors do not respond during programming, check the ground connection and repeat the procedure. Always program all remotes in the same session, as remotes not included will be erased from the system.
