1993 Buick LeSabre Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Important Notice: The 1993 Buick LeSabre supports onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. The procedure involves using the Data Link Connector (DLC) located beneath the dashboard. Follow each step carefully for successful programming.

Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Locate the Data Link Connector (DLC) under the driver’s side dashboard. The connector is rectangular and contains multiple cavities (pin slots). Use a diagram or manual for pin reference, as the cavities are not labeled on the connector.
  • Step 2: Using a fused jumper wire, connect terminal G to terminal A on the DLC. Within approximately 2 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors, indicating that it has entered programming mode.
  • Step 3: Press any button on the first remote fob. The vehicle’s locks will cycle (lock and unlock) to confirm successful programming.
  • Step 4: If you have a second remote, press any button on that remote. The door locks will cycle again to confirm the second remote has also been successfully programmed.
  • Step 5: Remove the jumper wire from the DLC to exit programming mode.
  • Step 6: Test all programmed remotes by pressing the lock and unlock buttons to ensure they operate correctly.

Additional Notes: A maximum of two remotes can be programmed using this method. The ignition key does not require programming for this model year. Ensure remotes are compatible with your vehicle before starting the procedure.
