Programming Guide for 1994 Buick Skylark Keyless Entry Remote Fob
(Onboard Programming Procedure)
Important Note: This model supports onboard remote programming for up to two keyless entry remotes. All remotes must be programmed during the same session, as the process will erase previous codes.
Programming Steps:
- Step 1: Open the trunk and locate the programming connector on the driver’s side (LH) of the trunk. → The connector may be behind the trunk trim. → It is typically a loose plug with black and white wires, not connected to any component.
- Step 2: Insert a jumper wire between the terminals of the programming connector. → Keep the jumper connected through Step 6.
- Step 3: The door locks will automatically cycle (lock and unlock), confirming entry into programming mode.
- Step 4: On the first remote, press any button once. → The locks will cycle again, indicating successful programming of that remote.
- Step 5: To program a second remote, press any button on the additional remote. → The locks will again cycle to confirm programming. You may program up to two remotes. Additional remotes beyond that are not supported.
- Step 6: Remove the jumper wire to exit programming mode.
- Step 7: Test all programmed remotes to ensure proper operation.
