Programming Guide for 1994 Mitsubishi Expo Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: Follow these instructions carefully to program the keyless entry remote fob. Make sure to complete each step in the correct order for the system to recognize the new remote.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Step 1: Locate the Data Port Find the Data Port under the dashboard, typically located on the driver's side to the right of the steering column.
- Step 2: Insert Keys into the Ignition Place the keys into the ignition and leave the ignition in the OFF position.
- Step 3: Connect the Jumper Wire Ensure that there are metal contact pins in terminals 1 and 4. Use a suitable jumper wire to connect terminals 1 and 4. Keep the jumper wire connected throughout the entire programming procedure. Be sure you know which terminals are 1 and 4.
- Step 4: Activate Programming Mode Within 10 seconds of connecting the jumper wire, turn the ignition switch to the ACC position, and then back to OFF. The doors will automatically lock and unlock once, indicating that the system is now in programming mode.
- Step 5: Program the First Remote Press the LOCK button on the remote you wish to register three times within 10 seconds. Upon successful programming, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm the registration.
- Step 6: Program Additional Remotes If you have a second remote to program, repeat Step 5 within one minute to program the second remote. After completing the second remote's programming, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm.
- Step 7: Disconnect the Jumper Wire After programming all remotes, disconnect the jumper wire from the Data Port.
- Step 8: Remove Keys from the Ignition Finally, remove the keys from the ignition to complete the programming process.
