1995 Buick Regal Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Notice: This procedure will erase all previously stored remote codes. Any working remotes must be reprogrammed during this session to remain functional.

Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Open the trunk and locate the programming connector wire on the right-hand side (passenger side). You may need to pull back the trunk trim to access the black wire with a white stripe, which ends in a single-terminal plastic connector.
  • Step 2: Ground the terminal by attaching it to a clean, unpainted metal surface such as a bolt or the trunk latch. Note: Keep the connector wire grounded throughout the entire programming process.
  • Step 3: Once the wire is grounded, the vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically, indicating that it has entered programming mode.
  • Step 4: Press any button on the first remote. The system will lock and unlock the doors once, confirming that the remote has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes, including any previously programmed ones. Important: Do not remove the ground wire while programming additional remotes.
  • Step 6: After all remotes have been programmed, disconnect the programming wire from ground to exit programming mode.
  • Step 7: Test all remotes to confirm proper function of lock and unlock features.

Additional Tips: Typically, up to two remotes can be programmed for this vehicle. If the doors do not cycle during programming, ensure the ground connection is secure and restart the process from Step 1. Only remotes programmed during the session will be stored. Any remotes not included will be erased from memory.
