Programming Guide for 1995 Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This model uses the vehicle’s built-in keypad system to access remote programming mode. All remote fobs must be programmed in a single session. If the keypad times out before all remotes are registered, the procedure must be restarted.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Make sure all doors are closed. Have all remote fobs ready before beginning.
- Step 2: Enter the 5-digit permanent entry code on the keyless entry keypad located on the driver’s door.
- Step 3: Within 5 seconds of pressing the final digit of the entry code, press the 1/2 button on the keypad.
- Step 4: Wait for confirmation—all doors will automatically lock and then unlock, signaling that the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 5 seconds, press any button on the first remote fob. The door locks will cycle again (lock and unlock) to confirm successful programming.
- Step 6: If you are programming a second remote, press any button on that remote within 5 seconds of programming the previous one. The locks will cycle again to confirm.
- Step 7: Repeat Step 6 for any additional remotes. Be sure each remote is programmed within 5 seconds of the last one.
- Step 8: If the keypad light turns off before you finish programming all remotes, the session will end, and you’ll need to start over from Step 1.
- Step 9: Once all remotes have been successfully programmed, press the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons simultaneously on the keypad to exit programming mode.
- Step 10: Test each remote to ensure the lock and unlock functions respond correctly.
Additional Considerations: All remotes must be programmed during the same session. Any remotes not included will be erased from memory. Timing is critical. Each step must be completed quickly to avoid exiting programming mode prematurely. If the system exits programming before all remotes are stored, restart the procedure from the beginning. Check battery strength in all remotes before starting to avoid communication issues during programming.
