Programming Guide for 1995 Mitsubishi Expo Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Important Notice: Follow these instructions carefully to successfully program your keyless entry remote fob. Complete each step as described for proper programming.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • Step 1: Locate the Data Port Find the Data Port under the driver’s side dashboard, typically to the right of the steering column.
  • Step 2: Insert Keys into the Ignition Place the keys into the ignition and leave the ignition in the OFF position.
  • Step 3: Connect the Jumper Wire Ensure there are metal contact pins in terminals 1 and 4. Use a suitable jumper wire to connect terminals 1 and 4 in the Data Port. Keep the jumper wire connected throughout the entire programming procedure. Be sure to identify the correct terminals.
  • Step 4: Activate Programming Mode Within 10 seconds of connecting the jumper wire, turn the ignition switch to the ACC position and then back to OFF. The doors will automatically lock and unlock once, indicating that the system is now in programming mode.
  • Step 5: Program the First Remote Press the LOCK button on the remote you wish to register three times within 10 seconds. Upon successful programming, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm that the remote has been successfully registered.
  • Step 6: Program Additional Remotes If you have a second remote, repeat Step 5 within one minute to program the second remote. After completing the second remote's programming, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm successful registration.
  • Step 7: Disconnect the Jumper Wire Once all remotes are successfully programmed, disconnect the jumper wire from the Data Port.
  • Step 8: Remove the Keys from the Ignition Finally, remove the keys from the ignition to complete the programming process.
