The connector is wider at the top; refer to a diagram if needed to identify terminals 8 and 4. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Ensure that metal contacts are present in both terminal 8 and terminal 4. Using a suitable jumper wire, connect terminal 8 to terminal 4. Leave this jumper in place throughout the programming process. The vehicle will automatically lock and unlock the doors to confirm it has entered programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. After approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock again, confirming successful programming.
