1996 Nissan 300ZX – Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Note: Up to four remote fobs can be programmed for use with the 1996 Nissan 300ZX. All remotes must be programmed in the same session. Any remotes not included will not function.

Programming Procedure:

• Step 1: Open the vehicle's trunk and leave it open.
• Step 2: Close and lock all doors using the interior lock controls or manually at each door.
• Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition and remove it without turning. Repeat this six times within 10 seconds. If performed correctly, the system will enter programming mode.
• Step 4: Manually unlock and then lock the driver’s door once. This step activates what is referred to as “Belting Mode,” preparing the vehicle to receive remote signals.
• Step 5: Within 5 seconds, press the LOCK button once on the new remote you want to program. The system will register the remote.
• Step 6: To program additional remotes, repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each remote immediately after completing the first one.
