Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions – 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada
Important Notice: Some 1996 Bravada models may require the 1997 programming procedure, depending on production date. The following instructions apply to models equipped with the red two-wire programming connector.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Locate the red two-wire programming connector near the central locking control module, behind the left-hand lower instrument panel. You may need to remove trim for access.
- Step 2: Use a jumper wire to connect the terminals of the programming connector.
- Step 3: Once the jumper is connected, the door locks will cycle (lock and unlock) to indicate the system has entered programming mode.
- Step 4: Press any button on the first remote. The door locks will cycle again, confirming the remote has been successfully programmed.
- Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes you wish to program. All remotes must be programmed during the same session.
- Step 6: Remove the jumper wire to exit programming mode.
- Step 7: Test all remotes to ensure proper operation of lock and unlock functions.
