The connector is shaped like a trapezoid and is wider at the top. Although the terminals are not labeled, consult a pin diagram to identify terminals 8 and 4.

Step 2: Check that metal pins are present in both terminal 8 and terminal 4. Once confirmed, use a jumper wire to connect these two terminals. Leave the jumper wire in place for the duration of the programming process.

Step 3: After the jumper is connected, the vehicle should enter programming mode. You’ll hear the door locks automatically cycle — locking and unlocking — as a confirmation signal.

Step 4: Take the first remote and press both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. Hold them for approximately 15 seconds until the door locks cycle again, indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed.

Step 5: If you have additional remotes to program, repeat the button hold process for each one within 60 seconds of the previous remote.

Step 6: Once all remotes have been programmed, remove the jumper wire from the OBDII port to exit programming mode.

Step 7: Test each remote to confirm that locking and unlocking functions work as expected.
