<h1>1997 GMC Yukon &ndash; Remote Fob Programming Instructions</h1> <p><font size="3">This model supports onboard programming through the OBDII Data Link Connector (DLC) located under the dashboard. Follow the steps below to program one or more remote fobs. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Programming Procedure</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Locate the Data Link Connector (DLC) beneath the driver&rsquo;s side dashboard. &ndash; The connector is wider along the top row. &ndash; Identify terminal 8 and terminal 4 (refer to a diagram if needed to locate them accurately). </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Ensure that both terminals 8 and 4 have metal contact pins. &ndash; Using a suitable jumper wire, connect terminal 8 to terminal 4. &ndash; Leave the jumper wire in place throughout the programming process. &ndash; The door locks will cycle (lock and unlock) to indicate the system has entered programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously. &ndash; After approximately 15 seconds, the door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. &ndash; Release the buttons. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Within one minute, repeat Step 3 for any additional remotes you wish to program. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Remove the jumper wire from the DLC to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Test all remotes to confirm successful programming.</font></li> </ul>
