Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Locate the Data Port Find and access the Data Port in your vehicle. This is where the programming will begin.
- Step 2: Insert the Keys into the Ignition Place the keys in the ignition and leave it in the OFF position. Ensure that no power is being sent to the vehicle's electrical system.
- Step 3: Check for Metal Contact Pins Verify that terminals 1 and 4 have metal contact pins. This is necessary for creating the connection that will initiate the programming sequence.
- Step 4: Connect the Jumper Wire Use a suitable jumper wire to connect terminals 1 and 4 in the Data Port. Ensure the jumper wire is securely connected and remains in place throughout the entire programming procedure.
- Step 5: Power On to Activate Programming Mode Within 10 seconds of connecting the jumper wire, turn the ignition switch to the ACC (accessory) position, then back to the OFF position. The doors will automatically lock and unlock once to confirm that the system has entered programming mode.
- Step 6: Program the First Remote Press the LOCK button on the remote transmitter you want to program three times within 10 seconds. If programming is successful, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm that the remote has been registered.
