1997 Nissan 200SX – Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Note: All remote transmitters must be programmed during the same session. Once programming mode begins, any remotes not reprogrammed during the session will no longer function.

Programming Steps:

• Step 1: Sit inside the vehicle and ensure all doors are closed. Use the driver’s power lock switch to lock all doors.
• Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and remove it six times within 10 seconds without turning it. The tail lamps will flash, indicating that existing remote codes have been erased and the system is ready for new programming.
• Step 3: Insert the key again and turn it to the ACC (Accessory) position.
• Step 4: On the first remote, press the LOCK button. The tail lamps will flash to confirm successful programming.
• Step 5: To program additional remotes, use the power lock switch to unlock and then relock the doors.
• Step 6: Press the LOCK button on the next remote. The tail lamps will flash to confirm the remote has been accepted.
• Step 7: When all remotes have been programmed, open the driver’s door and turn the ignition to the “OFF” position to exit programming mode.
