Important Notice: The 1998 model does not support manual or onboard programming for remote fobs. All keyless remotes must be programmed using specialized diagnostic tools by a qualified automotive technician.

Programming Procedure:

• Step 1: Verify that your replacement remote is compatible with the vehicle’s factory keyless entry system.
• Step 2: Ensure the vehicle’s battery is in good condition to avoid any interruptions during the programming process.
• Step 3: Gather all remote fobs that you intend to program, as some systems may overwrite previous remotes during setup.
• Step 4: Contact a professional technician or authorized service center equipped with the necessary programming hardware.
• Step 5: If your vehicle can be driven, consider visiting the service provider’s location. This may reduce service fees compared to requesting mobile support.
• Step 6: Be prepared to present valid proof of vehicle ownership (such as your title or registration) before programming can begin.
