Programming Guide for 1999 Mazda B-Series Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 1999 Mazda B-Series supports on-board programming for keyless entry remotes. You can program up to two remotes in a single session. Follow the steps carefully to ensure successful programming.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Make sure all doors are closed. Then open the driver’s door, press the UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel, and leave the door open.
- Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition.
- Step 3: Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN (just before engine start) eight times within 10 seconds, ending on the eighth turn in the RUN position. The door locks will cycle, confirming that the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 4: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote. The door locks will cycle, confirming successful programming of the remote.
- Step 5: Within the next 20 seconds, press any button on the second remote (if applicable). The door locks will cycle again, confirming the second remote has been programmed.
- Step 6: Turn the ignition to the OFF position. The door locks will cycle one final time, signaling the end of programming mode.
