Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions – 1999 Plymouth Voyager

Note: One working remote is required to program additional remotes. If no remote is currently functional, a qualified technician must perform the initial programming using specialized equipment.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Use the currently programmed remote to unlock the vehicle and disarm the factory security system.
  • Step 2: Insert the ignition key and turn it to the RUN position (the last position before starting the engine).
  • Step 3: On the working remote, press and hold the UNLOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.
  • Step 4: While holding the UNLOCK button, press and hold the PANIC button for 1 second, then release both buttons. Wait a few seconds for a chime to sound, indicating the system has entered programming mode.
  • Step 5: Within 30 seconds of the chime: Press and release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously. Then, press and release the UNLOCK button alone. A second chime will confirm successful programming of the remote.
  • Step 6: To add additional remotes, repeat the same sequence (LOCK + UNLOCK, then UNLOCK) on each new remote. A chime will confirm each successful addition.
  • Step 7: Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key from the ignition.
  • Step 8: Test each programmed remote to ensure all functions work correctly.
