2000 Buick Century Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: Before beginning the programming process, ensure that you have all remotes you will be using with the vehicle. Programming will erase all previously stored codes in the vehicle’s memory, so other remotes will not function until you program them again.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Step 1: Ensure All Vehicle Doors Are Closed Ensure all doors are securely closed before starting the programming procedure.
- Step 2: Turn the Ignition to the ""ON"" Position Insert the ignition key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (as far as you can without starting the engine).
- Step 3: Turn the Ignition Off and Remove the Key Turn the ignition to the OFF position and remove the key from the ignition.
- Step 4: Press and Hold the Door Lock Switch Press and hold the UNLOCK button on the driver’s side door lock switch.
- Step 5: Insert the Key into the Ignition Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder, but do not turn the key. Remove the key immediately after inserting it.

- Step 9: Program the First Remote Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the keyless entry remote at the same time. Hold them for about 15 seconds until the vehicle beeps twice. This confirms that the remote has been successfully programmed.

- Step 11: Exit Programming Mode Once all remotes have been successfully programmed, remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder to exit the programming mode.
- Step 12: Test Each Remote Test each keyless entry remote by pressing the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons to verify that the doors and trunk lid lock and unlock properly.
- Step 13: Test Additional Functions Ensure all functions, such as trunk release and panic button, are working properly with each programmed remote.
- Step 14: Final Check Make sure all programmed remotes are fully operational, and each remote responds correctly to lock and unlock the vehicle.
- Step 15: Confirm Successful Programming Perform a final check to confirm that all programmed remotes are functioning properly.
