Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions – 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada

Important Notice: This vehicle allows onboard programming for remote key fobs. All remotes must be programmed during the same session. Any remotes not included will no longer function.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
  • Step 2: Insert the ignition key into the ignition cylinder without turning it.
  • Step 3: On the driver’s door panel, press and hold the power UNLOCK button. Keep holding it until instructed to release in Step 9.
  • Step 4: Perform the following ignition sequence quickly and in order:
  • Step 5: Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  • Step 6: Turn the ignition back to the OFF position.
  • Step 7: Turn the ignition to ON again.
  • Step 8: Turn the ignition back to OFF.
  • Step 9: Release the UNLOCK button. The door locks will automatically lock and unlock, indicating the vehicle has entered programming mode.
  • Step 10: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously. Hold until the locks cycle again, which may take up to 30 seconds, confirming successful programming.
  • Step 11: Repeat Step 10 for each additional remote you wish to program, including any existing remotes.
  • Step 12: Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode.
  • Step 13: Remove the key and test all remotes to ensure full functionality.
