Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions – 2000 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Important Notice: Before entering programming mode, make sure you have all remote transmitters ready. Once programming begins, all existing codes will be erased, and any remotes not reprogrammed during the session will no longer function.

Programming Procedure:

• Step 1: Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
• Step 2: Remove the key from the ignition. Note: Steps 4 through 9 must be completed within 25 seconds of pressing the door unlock switch to successfully enter programming mode.
• Step 3: On the driver’s door panel, press and hold the power UNLOCK button. Continue holding this button until instructed to release in Step 11.
• Step 4: Insert the key into the ignition.
• Step 5: Perform the following ignition cycle steps quickly and in order:
• Step 6: Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine).
• Step 7: Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
• Step 8: Turn the ignition to ON again.
• Step 9: Turn the ignition back to OFF.
• Step 10: Release the UNLOCK button on the driver’s door. The vehicle will chime three times, confirming it has entered programming mode. Important: You must program all remotes during this session. Programming a new transmitter will erase all previously stored ones.
• Step 11: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for about 4 seconds, or until the vehicle chimes twice to confirm successful programming.
• Step 12: Repeat Step 11 for each additional transmitter you want to program, including any existing ones.
• Step 13: Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode.
