Keyless Entry Remote Programming Instructions – 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada

Important Notice: This vehicle supports onboard programming. All keyless entry remotes must be programmed during the same session. Any remotes not included will be erased from the system.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
  • Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition, but do not turn it.
  • Step 3: Press and hold the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel. Continue holding until Step 9.
  • Step 4: Complete the following ignition sequence quickly and in order:
  • Step 5: Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  • Step 6: Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  • Step 7: Turn the ignition to ON again.
  • Step 8: Turn the ignition to OFF once more.
  • Step 9: Release the UNLOCK button on the driver’s door. The door locks will automatically lock and unlock, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
  • Step 10: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously. Hold for up to 30 seconds, or until the door locks cycle again. This confirms successful programming.
  • Step 11: Repeat Step 10 for each additional remote you wish to program, including existing ones.
  • Step 12: Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode.
  • Step 13: Remove the key and test all remotes to ensure proper function.
