Important Notice: These instructions apply only to vehicles equipped with a factory-installed keyless entry system. Programming must be completed in a continuous sequence without delays.
Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle Ensure the driver's door is open and the key is completely removed from the ignition.
- Step 2: Begin Programming Sequence (Must Be Completed Within 40 Seconds)
- A. Insert the key into the ignition and remove it twice.
- B. Close and then open the driver’s door two times.
- C. Insert and remove the key from the ignition once.
- D. Close and then open the driver’s door two more times. E. Insert the key into the ignition and leave it inserted.
- F. Close the driver’s door.
- G. Turn the key from LOCK to ON, then back to LOCK. H. Remove the key from the ignition.
- Step 3: Confirm Entry into Programming Mode The tail lights and marker lights should flash once. A single buzzer sound will be heard. The door locks will cycle (lock and unlock once). If these signals do not occur, restart the process from Step 1.
- Step 4: Program the Remote Press and release the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote simultaneously. Then press and release the LOCK button on the same remote. The lights will flash, the buzzer will chirp once, and the door locks will cycle to confirm successful programming.
- Step 5: Program Additional Remotes (if applicable) Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote you wish to program. Up to four remotes can typically be registered.
- Step 6: Exit Programming Mode Open the driver’s door to complete the programming process.
- Step 7: Final Check Exit the vehicle, close all doors, and test each remote to ensure all functions operate correctly.
