2003 Buick Century Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important: Before beginning the process, ensure you have all remotes you plan to use with the vehicle. Once the programming sequence begins, any remotes not included will be erased from the system and must be reprogrammed to work again.
Step-by-Step Programming Guide:
- Step 1: Close all vehicle doors securely to avoid interrupting the programming process.
- Step 2: Insert the ignition key and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine).
- Step 3: Turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the ignition.
- Step 4: Press and hold the UNLOCK button on the driver-side door panel.
- Step 5: While holding the unlock button, insert the ignition key into the cylinder and remove it without turning.
- Step 6: Repeat the previous step—insert and remove the ignition key a second time without turning it.
- Step 7: Insert the ignition key into the cylinder a third time and leave it in place without turning.
- Step 8: Release the UNLOCK button on the door panel. You should hear three chimes, confirming that the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 9: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously.
- Step 10: Continue holding the buttons for about 15 seconds, until the vehicle responds with two chimes, confirming successful programming of that remote.
- Step 11: Repeat Steps 9 and 10 for each additional remote you wish to program, up to a maximum of four remotes.
- Step 12: Once all remotes have been programmed, remove the ignition key to exit programming mode.
- Step 13: Test each remote by pressing the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons to ensure proper operation.
- Step 14: If applicable, test other remote features such as the trunk release or panic function.
- Step 15: Store all remotes in a safe place, and keep track of which ones have been successfully programmed.
