Programming Instructions for 2003 Mazda B-Series Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2003 Mazda B-Series is equipped with an on-board programming system for keyless entry remotes. You can program up to two remotes during a single session. Be sure to follow each step promptly to ensure successful registration.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Make sure all vehicle doors are completely closed, and the ignition is in the OFF position.
- Step 2: Open the driver’s door, press the UNLOCK button on the interior door panel, and leave the door open throughout the procedure.
- Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition.
- Step 4: Turn the key from OFF to RUN (the position just before engine start) eight times within 10 seconds, ending on the eighth turn in the RUN position. – When performed correctly, the door locks will cycle, confirming entry into programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote. – The door locks will cycle, confirming the remote has been successfully programmed.
- Step 6: Within the next 20 seconds, press any button on the second remote (if available). – The door locks will cycle again, confirming the second remote is registered.
- Step 7: Turn the ignition to the OFF position. – The door locks will cycle one final time, indicating that programming mode has been exited.
- Step 8: Test each remote to ensure the lock and unlock functions work properly.
- Step 9: If the procedure fails, restart from Step 1. Be sure to complete all actions within the required time limits.
