2003 Suzuki Aerio Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Step-by-Step Procedure:

Important Notes: A maximum of two remotes can be programmed to the system. Perform all steps in sequence. Timing is critical. All existing remotes will be erased during programming, so ensure all remotes are available.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • Step 2: Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
  • Step 3: Open the driver's door and leave it open throughout the procedure.
  • Step 4: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine), then turn it back to OFF and remove the key. This step must be completed within 10 seconds.
  • Step 5: Within the next 20 seconds, close and open the driver’s door three times.
  • Step 6: Reinsert the key into the ignition, turn it to the ON position, then back to OFF and remove the key again. This step must also be completed within 10 seconds.
  • Step 7: After completing the steps above, the door locks should automatically lock and unlock to indicate that the vehicle has entered programming mode.
  • Step 8: On the remote you wish to program, press the UNLOCK button once. The locks should cycle to confirm successful programming.
  • Step 9: To program additional remotes, repeat Step 8 for each additional remote (up to two total).
  • Step 10: Exit the vehicle with all remotes and close the door. Test each remote to confirm that locking and unlocking functions work correctly.
