2004 Suzuki Aerio Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions
Step-by-Step Guide
Important Notes: The vehicle must be in programming mode to register remotes. You can program up to two remotes. All previously programmed remotes will be erased during this process. Timing is critical. Read through all steps before starting.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Remove the key from the ignition.
- Step 2: Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
- Step 3: Open the driver’s door and leave it open.
- Step 4: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine), then turn it OFF and remove the key — this must be completed within 10 seconds.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, close and open the driver’s door three times.
- Step 6: Reinsert the key into the ignition, turn it to the ON position, then turn it OFF and remove it again — this must also be completed within 10 seconds.
- Step 7: The door locks should lock and unlock automatically to confirm the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 8: Press the UNLOCK button on the remote you wish to program. The door locks should cycle again to confirm successful programming.
- Step 9: To program a second remote, repeat Step 8 within the same session.
- Step 10: Exit the vehicle with all remotes and close the driver’s door. Test each remote to verify that both LOCK and UNLOCK functions work correctly.
