Important Notice: The 2005 Mazda B-Series allows on-board programming for keyless entry remotes. This process enables up to two remotes to be programmed in a single session. Follow each step carefully and complete actions within the required time limits.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 2: Open the driver’s door, press the UNLOCK button on the door panel, and keep the door open throughout the procedure.
  • Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition switch.
  • Step 4: Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN (just before the engine starts) eight times within 10 seconds, finishing in the RUN position on the eighth turn. – The door locks will cycle, indicating the system has entered programming mode.

  • Step 6: Within the next 20 seconds, press any button on the second remote (if available). – The locks will cycle, signaling that the second remote is also programmed.
  • Step 7: Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. – The door locks will cycle one final time, confirming the programming session has ended.
  • Step 8: Test each remote to ensure that both lock and unlock functions are operating correctly.
  • Step 9: If programming fails, repeat the entire procedure from Step 1, ensuring all timing requirements are met.
