  • Step 4: Complete the Setup Within 40 seconds: Close and open the driver’s door twice. Leave the key inserted in the ignition. Close the driver's door.
  • Step 5: Activate the Programming Mode Continue within 40 seconds: Turn the ignition to ON (do not start the vehicle), then switch it back to OFF. Remove the key from the ignition.
  • Step 6: Verify Entry into Programming Mode Within 3 seconds of removing the key, observe if the vehicle's door locks automatically lock and then unlock. This indicates successful entry into programming mode. If the locks do not cycle, restart from Step 1.
  • Step 7: Remote Programming Within 40 seconds of confirming entry into programming mode: Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. Immediately after releasing the buttons, press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds. The door locks should cycle once to indicate successful programming. If they cycle twice, the programming was not successful; repeat this step for the remote.
  • Step 8: Programming Additional Remotes If programming more than one remote, repeat Step 7 for each new remote within 40 seconds.
  • Step 9: Conclude Programming Open the driver's door to exit the programming mode and complete the process.
