2006 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2006 Buick Allure is not equipped for onboard programming. Smart key remotes must be programmed by a certified technician or authorized dealer using manufacturer-approved diagnostic tools.
- Step 1: Identify whether you're replacing a lost remote or adding a new one. All remotes typically need to be programmed during the same session to maintain proper functionality.
- Step 2: Contact a qualified technician or authorized dealer with access to the correct diagnostic equipment for remote programming.
- Step 3: Bring all existing remotes with you. Any remote not present may be erased from the vehicle's system during the process.
- Step 4: If your vehicle is driveable, taking it to the service location may be more economical than requesting on-site service.
- Step 5: If no remote is currently working, make sure to bring valid proof of ownership, such as the vehicle registration or title, before programming begins.
- Step 6: The technician will connect factory-grade diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s onboard system to initiate the programming process.
- Step 7: The new remote will be electronically paired with the vehicle, enabling full functionality including locking, unlocking, and ignition control.
- Step 8: After programming, the technician will verify the smart key’s functionality by testing all keyless entry and ignition features.
- Step 9: Test the remote yourself to ensure all features—such as trunk release and panic alarm—are working properly.
- Step 10: If you are programming multiple remotes, ensure all are programmed in the same session to maintain compatibility across all devices.
