<h1>2006 GMC Sierra &ndash; Remote Key Fob Programming Instructions</h1> <p><font size="3">This model supports manual remote programming using the ignition switch and the driver's side door controls. </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Close all vehicle doors to prevent interference with the programming process. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition without turning it. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press and hold the UNLOCK button on the driver&rsquo;s door panel. Continue holding this button until Step 9. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Quickly perform the following ignition cycle: Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine), then back to OFF. Turn it ON again, then back to OFF once more. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Release the UNLOCK button. The door locks should automatically cycle &mdash; locking and unlocking once &mdash; to confirm the vehicle has entered programming mode. If the locks do not cycle, remove the key, open the driver&rsquo;s door, and restart the process from Step 1. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first remote at the same time. Hold for up to 30 seconds, or until the locks cycle again to confirm successful programming. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Repeat the previous step for each additional remote you wish to program, including any remotes previously paired. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Once all remotes have been programmed, turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: Remove the key and test each remote to ensure all buttons function properly.</font></li> </ul>
