Programming Instructions for 2006 Mazda B-Series Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2006 Mazda B-Series supports on-board programming for keyless entry remote fobs. You can program up to two remotes during a single session. Timing is critical—be sure to follow each step promptly and in order.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Confirm all doors are fully closed and the ignition is in the OFF position.
- Step 2: Open the driver’s door, press the UNLOCK button on the driver’s interior door panel, and leave the door open.
- Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition.
- Step 4: Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN (the position just before the engine starts) eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the RUN position on the eighth cycle. – The door locks will cycle, signaling that the system has entered programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote fob. – The door locks will cycle, confirming that the remote has been programmed.
- Step 6: Within the next 20 seconds, press any button on the second remote fob (if applicable). – The door locks will cycle again, confirming successful programming of the second remote.
- Step 7: Turn the ignition back to the OFF position. – The door locks will cycle once more, indicating that programming mode has ended.
- Step 8: Test all programmed remotes to verify that the lock and unlock functions work correctly.
- Step 9: If the remotes do not respond, repeat the procedure from Step 1 and ensure each step is completed within the specified time frame.
