2007 Buick Rainier Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions
Important Notice: The 2007 Buick Rainier allows onboard programming of remote keyless entry fobs. Use the steps below to program new or additional remotes.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Ensure all vehicle doors are fully closed.
- Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition without turning it.
- Step 3: Press and hold the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel. Continue holding this button until Step 9.
- Step 4: Complete the following four steps quickly and in order:
- Step 5: Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not start the engine).
- Step 6: Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Step 7: Turn the ignition back to the ON position.
- Step 8: Turn the ignition to the OFF position again.
- Step 9: Release the power UNLOCK button. The door locks should automatically cycle (lock and unlock) to indicate the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 10: On the first remote, press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously. Continue holding until the door locks cycle again. This may take up to 30 seconds.
- Step 11: Repeat Step 10 for each additional remote, including any previously programmed remotes. Only remotes programmed during this session will work with the vehicle.
- Step 12: Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode. The process is now complete.
Additional Tips: You can program up to four remotes during one session. If the door locks do not respond during Step 9 or Step 10, restart the process from Step 1. After programming is complete, test each remote to ensure all functions—lock, unlock, trunk release, and panic—are working correctly.
