Programming Guide for 2007 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – CTS-V
(Remote Programming Requires Professional Equipment)
Important Notice: The 2007 CTS-V does not support manual or onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. All programming must be performed using specialized diagnostic equipment by a qualified automotive technician.
Remote Fob Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Confirm that this model year requires diagnostic equipment for remote fob programming and cannot be programmed using a manual sequence.
- Step 2: Arrange an appointment with a certified automotive service provider or dealer equipped to handle keyless entry system programming.
- Step 3: Bring all remote fobs—both new and previously programmed—with you. Some systems may require all remotes to be reprogrammed at the same time.
- Step 4: If the vehicle is in working condition, consider driving it to the service facility rather than using mobile assistance. This may help reduce the overall cost.
- Step 5: The technician will connect a diagnostic scanner to the vehicle’s onboard system using the OBD-II port, located beneath the dashboard.
- Step 6: Through secure access, the technician will initiate the remote programming process using factory-level tools and software.
- Step 7: Once each fob has been successfully recognized, system prompts will confirm that the remotes have been learned by the vehicle.
- Step 8: Test all remotes at the service site to ensure proper operation of all functions, including lock, unlock, and trunk access.
- Step 9: Finalize the service by having the technician verify that programming has been completed and saved to the system memory.
