Programming Guide for 2007 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Important Notice: The 2007 model supports onboard programming of remote keyless entry fobs through the Driver Information Center (DIC). Up to eight remotes can be programmed during a single session. All remotes should be programmed consecutively before exiting the programming mode.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Insert the Ignition Key Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting the engine. This will activate the Driver Information Center.
  • Step 2: Access the Remote Programming Option Press the Vehicle Information button on the dashboard repeatedly until the display reads PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.
  • Step 3: Begin the Programming Mode Press the SET/RESET button. The display will change to REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE, confirming the system is ready to receive new remotes.
  • Step 4: Program the First Remote Take the first keyless remote and press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. Continue holding both buttons for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound, indicating that the remote has been successfully programmed. On vehicles with memory recall seats, the first remote will be associated with Driver 1, and the second with Driver 2.
  • Step 5: Program Additional Remotes (Optional) Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote you wish to program. The system allows a maximum of eight remotes. Each successful programming will be confirmed by a chime.
  • Step 6: Exit Programming Mode Once all remotes are programmed, turn the ignition OFF and remove the key. This will end the programming session.
  • Step 7: Test Each Remote Check the function of each remote by using the lock, unlock, and trunk release buttons to ensure proper operation.

Additional Considerations:

All Remotes Must Be Programmed Together: Remotes not programmed during the session will be erased.

Battery Condition: Make sure each remote has a fresh, functional battery before beginning the procedure.

Memory Function Reminder: For vehicles with memory seats, remote assignments may affect seat and mirror positions.
