2007 Cadillac Escalade

Programming Guide for 2007 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Cadillac Escalade

Important Notice: The 2007 Escalade supports onboard programming for remote keyless entry fobs. Up to eight remotes can be programmed during the same session. All previously stored remotes should be reprogrammed at this time, as remotes not included during the session may be erased from memory. There are two programming procedures, depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons or not. Follow the instructions that match your configuration.

Procedure A: Vehicles With Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons

  • Step 1: Insert the Ignition Key Turn the ignition key to the ON position (do not start the engine). This will allow access to the Driver Information Center.
  • Step 2: Access the Remote Programming Menu Press the Vehicle Information button repeatedly until the message PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY appears on the display.
  • Step 3: Activate Learning Mode Press the SET/RESET button. The display will update to REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE, indicating the vehicle is ready to accept remote input.
  • Step 4: Program the First Remote Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote simultaneously. Continue holding the buttons for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound once the remote has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 5: Program Additional Remotes (Optional) Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote you wish to program. The system can store up to eight remotes. A chime will confirm each successful programming.
  • Step 6: Exit Programming Mode Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove it. This will end the programming session.
  • Step 7: Test All Remotes Test each programmed remote by verifying the lock, unlock, and tailgate functions operate correctly.

Procedure B: Vehicles Without Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons For vehicles without DIC buttons, programming is done using the trip odometer reset stem.

  • Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) with the ignition key turned to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  • Step 2: Display the Relearn Prompt Press the trip odometer reset stem until the display shows RELEARN REMOTE KEY.
  • Step 3: Activate Remote Learning Mode Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for approximately three seconds until the display updates to REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.
  • Step 4: Program the First Remote Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first remote simultaneously. Hold the buttons for around 15 seconds until the door locks cycle or a chime sounds, confirming successful programming.
  • Step 5: Program Additional Remotes (Optional) Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes. The system supports programming of up to eight remotes.
  • Step 6: Exit Programming Mode Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove it to complete the session.
  • Step 7: Test All Remotes Test the functionality of each programmed remote by checking all remote-operated functions.

Additional Considerations:

Battery Status: Confirm all remotes have fresh batteries before programming.

All Remotes Must Be Programmed Together: Any remotes not included in the current session may be erased from memory.

Chime Confirmation: Each successful programming is confirmed by a door lock cycle or audible chime.

System Capacity: A maximum of eight remotes can be stored at one time.

Programming Duration: The full procedure typically takes only a few minutes.
