Programming Guide for 2007 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Cadillac SRX
Important Notice: The 2007 Cadillac SRX supports onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. The procedure varies slightly depending on whether your vehicle is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons or without DIC buttons. Carefully follow the instructions that apply to your configuration.
Procedure for Vehicles with Driver Information Center Buttons:
- Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting the engine.
- Step 2: Press the Vehicle Information button repeatedly until the display shows PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.
- Step 3: Press the Set/Reset button. The display will change to REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.
- Step 4: On the first remote, press and hold the Lock and Unlock buttons at the same time. Continue holding both for about 15 seconds. A chime will sound to indicate the remote has been programmed.
- Step 5: To program additional remotes, repeat Step 4 for each one. You may program up to eight remotes total.
- Step 6: When finished, turn the ignition to the OFF position and remove the key. Test all remotes to confirm functionality.
Procedure for Vehicles without Driver Information Center Buttons:
- Step 1: Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and insert the key into the ignition. Turn it to the ON position (without starting the engine).
- Step 2: Press the Trip Odometer Reset stem repeatedly until the display reads RELEARN REMOTE KEY.
- Step 3: Press and hold the Trip Odometer Reset stem for approximately 3 seconds. The display will show REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.
- Step 4: On the first remote, press and hold the Lock and Unlock buttons simultaneously for about 15 seconds, until you hear a chime confirming successful programming.
- Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes. You may program up to eight remotes total.
- Step 6: When complete, turn the ignition OFF, remove the key, and test each remote for proper operation.
