<h1>2007 GMC Sierra – Remote Key Fob Programming Instructions</h1> Old Body Style – Manual Programming Procedure This version of the 2007 Sierra supports onboard programming using ignition and driver door controls. <ul> <li>Step 1: Ensure all vehicle doors are fully closed before beginning. </li> <li>Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition but do not turn it yet. </li> <li>Step 3: Press and hold the UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel and continue holding it through Step 9. </li> <li>Step 4: Quickly perform the following ignition cycle: Turn the ignition to ON (without starting the engine), then back to OFF. Repeat the same cycle one more time: ON → OFF. </li> <li>Step 5: Release the UNLOCK button. The door locks should cycle (lock and unlock) automatically to confirm the system has entered programming mode. If the locks do not respond, remove the key, open the driver's door, and start again from Step 1.</li> <li> Step 6: Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first remote at the same time. Hold them for up to 30 seconds until the door locks cycle again, confirming successful programming. </li> <li>Step 7: Repeat Step 6 for each additional remote you wish to program, including any previously paired remotes. </li> <li>Step 8: Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit programming mode. </li> <li>Step 9: Remove the key and test each remote to ensure proper operation. </li> </ul> New Body Style – Programming Using Driver Information Center (DIC) If your vehicle is equipped with DIC buttons, follow these steps: <ul> <li>Step 1: Insert the key and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine). </li> <li>Step 2: Press the vehicle information button repeatedly until the display reads “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.” </li> <li>Step 3: Press the SET/RESET button. The message will change to “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 4: On the remote, press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK simultaneously for about 15 seconds. A chime will sound when programming is complete. </li> <li>Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes. You can program up to eight remotes in total. </li> <li>Step 6: Turn the key to the OFF position, remove it, and test each remote. </li> </ul> New Body Style – Without Driver Information Center Buttons If your vehicle lacks DIC buttons, use the trip odometer reset stem instead. <ul> <li>Step 1: Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and turn the ignition to the ON position (engine off). </li> <li>Step 2: Press the trip odometer reset stem repeatedly until the display shows “RELEARN REMOTE KEY.” </li> <li>Step 3: Press and hold the reset stem for approximately three seconds until the message changes to “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 4: On the first remote, press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK together for about 15 seconds. A chime will sound once the remote is successfully programmed. </li> <li>Step 5: Repeat for any additional remotes. </li> <li>Step 6: To finish, turn the ignition OFF, remove the key, and verify all remotes are functioning.</li> </ul>
