<h1>2007 Honda Element &ndash; Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions</h1> <p><font size="3"><b> Important Notice:</b> Entering programming mode will erase all previously stored remote codes. You must reprogram every remote you want to use during the same session. If a remote is not programmed, it will no longer function with the vehicle. To stay in programming mode, complete each step within five seconds of the last. </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Sit in the driver&rsquo;s seat and make sure all doors are fully closed and unlocked. Have all remotes ready before starting, as the process is time-sensitive. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON (II) position. This is the position right before starting the engine. Dashboard lights should come on, but do not start the engine. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Within five seconds of turning the ignition to ON, press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote you want to program. You may use either a previously programmed or brand-new remote for this step. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Turn the ignition back to the LOCK (0) position. This completes one programming cycle. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 through 4 two more times, for a total of three full cycles. Each cycle should be: ignition to ON &rarr; press LOCK or UNLOCK &rarr; ignition to LOCK. Be sure to complete each step within five seconds of the last.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 6: After completing the third cycle, turn the ignition to the ON (II) position again. You have now entered programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button again on the same remote. The door locks should cycle (lock and unlock), indicating that the vehicle has accepted the remote and is in programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Within five seconds, press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the next remote you wish to program. The locks will cycle again to confirm acceptance. Repeat this step for any additional remotes, one at a time. Each time, wait for the locks to cycle before continuing. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: When you are finished programming all remotes, turn the ignition back to the LOCK (0) position to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 10: Remove the key and test each remote by pressing the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons. Make sure each one operates the door locks correctly. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 11: If a remote fails to operate, repeat the entire process from Step 1.
