Within 5 seconds, insert and remove the key from the ignition switch twice. </li> <li>Step 2: Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice. Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch. </li> <li>Step 3: Within 40 seconds, close and open the driver's door twice again. Insert the key into the ignition switch and close the driver's door. </li> <li>Step 4: Switch the ignition ON and OFF: Once to program a key remote transmitter code while retaining the original codes. Twice to program a key remote transmitter code while erasing the original codes. Three times to check how many key remote transmitters are currently registered. Five times to erase all registered codes. </li> <li>Step 5: Remove the key from the ignition switch. The system should now lock and unlock the vehicle once, twice, or five times depending on the mode selected. One to four times slowly indicates the number of key remote transmitters registered. </li> <li>Step 6: Within 40 seconds, press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. Within 3 seconds, press any button on the key remote transmitter. The system should lock and unlock the vehicle once to confirm registration or twice to indicate registration has failed. </li> <li>Step 7: Within 40 seconds, to program additional remotes, repeat Step 6 for each additional remote you want to program. </li> <li>Step 8: To exit programming mode, open the driver's door or insert the key into the ignition. </li> <li>Step 9: Step out of the car with the remote(s) in hand and test the remote(s). These instructions program only the remote portion of the Remote Head Key. If you need to program the key portion of the Remote Head Key, specialized equipment will be required.</li> </ul>
