Programming Guide for 2007 Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This model supports onboard programming for standard keyless entry remote fobs using a specific ignition key cycling procedure. All remotes must be programmed during the same session, as any not included will be removed from the system memory.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Sit in the vehicle with all doors closed. Ensure all remote fobs you wish to program are present and ready before starting.
- Step 2: Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch. Do not start the engine.
- Step 3: Within 10 seconds, turn the ignition from the OFF position to the RUN position eight times, ending with the key in the RUN position on the eighth cycle. Complete the sequence quickly and smoothly.
- Step 4: Watch for confirmation—the door locks will automatically lock and then unlock, indicating that the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote fob. The door locks will cycle again to confirm successful programming.
- Step 6: If programming a second remote, press any button on it within 20 seconds of programming the previous one. The locks will cycle again to confirm registration.
- Step 7: Repeat Step 6 for any additional remotes, ensuring each one is programmed within 20 seconds of the last.
- Step 8: Once all remotes are programmed, turn the ignition key to the OFF position. The locks will cycle one final time to signal that programming mode has ended.
- Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and test all remote fobs to ensure proper function of the lock and unlock features.
- Step 10: If any remote fails to operate, repeat the process from Step 1, ensuring that all timing and battery conditions are met.
Additional Considerations: All remotes must be programmed together. Any remotes not included during this session will be erased from memory. Precise timing is required. Delays between steps or input errors can cancel programming mode. Check the battery condition in each remote prior to starting. Weak or low batteries can prevent proper programming.
