Programming Guide for 2007 Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This vehicle includes onboard programming functionality for keyless entry remote fobs. The process uses a timed ignition sequence and must be completed in one continuous session. Any remotes not included during the programming procedure will be erased from the system and must be reprogrammed to work again.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Enter the vehicle and ensure all doors are fully closed. Gather all remote fobs you plan to program before starting the procedure.
- Step 2: Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch, but do not start the engine.
- Step 3: Within 10 seconds, turn the ignition from the OFF position to the RUN position eight times, ending with the key in the RUN position on the eighth turn. This action must be performed quickly and smoothly.
- Step 4: The door locks will automatically lock and unlock, indicating the vehicle has entered programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote fob. The door locks will cycle again to confirm successful programming.
- Step 6: If programming a second remote, press any button on it within 20 seconds of programming the first. The locks will cycle again to confirm it has been successfully registered.
- Step 7: Repeat Step 6 for any additional remotes, ensuring each is programmed within 20 seconds of the last.
- Step 8: After all remotes have been programmed, turn the ignition key to the OFF position. The door locks will cycle once more to indicate that programming mode has ended.
- Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and test each remote fob to verify that lock and unlock functions work as expected.
- Step 10: If any remote fails to respond, repeat the entire procedure from Step 1, making sure each step is performed within the required time limits.
Additional Considerations: All remotes must be programmed during the same session. Any not included will no longer function and must be reprogrammed. Accurate timing is critical. Failure to meet the timing requirements for ignition cycling or remote button presses will cause the procedure to fail. Check the battery condition in each remote before starting. Weak or depleted batteries may prevent successful communication during programming.
