2007 Subaru Impreza Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Note: Before beginning the programming procedure, ensure the vehicle’s alarm system is deactivated. You can program up to four remote fobs during a single session.

Step-by-Step Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Open the driver’s door, sit in the driver’s seat, and close the door. Make sure all other doors remain closed.
  • Step 2: Within 15 seconds, insert the key into the ignition and turn it from the LOCK to the ON position and back to LOCK ten times rapidly. Do not start the engine. Leave the key in the ignition after the final cycle. A single tone will sound, confirming entry into programming mode.
  • Step 3: Within 45 seconds, proceed with the following steps for each remote:
  • Step 4: A. Open and close the driver’s door one time. B. Press either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote fob. A double tone will confirm the remote has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 5: To register more remotes (up to four total), repeat Step 4 for each additional fob. A tone will confirm each successful registration.
  • Step 6: Once all remotes have been programmed, remove the key from the ignition. The system will emit three tones, indicating that it has exited programming mode.
  • Step 7: Test each remote to ensure proper locking and unlocking functionality.
