<h1>2008 GMC Yukon Denali Keyless Entry Remote Fob (Smart Key)</h1> Important Notice: The 2008 GMC Yukon Denali supports onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. Depending on your vehicle's configuration, programming can be completed using the Driver Information Center (DIC) or the trip odometer display. No specialized diagnostic tools are required for this process. Programming Procedure If Your Vehicle Has Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons: <ul> <li>Step 1: Access the Driver Information Center Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the vehicle). Use the vehicle information button to scroll through the menu until “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY” is displayed. </li> <li>Step 2: Enter Remote Programming Mode Press the set/reset button. The display will update to “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 3: Program the First Remote Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote simultaneously for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound once the remote is successfully programmed. </li> <li>Step 4: Program Additional Remotes Repeat Step 3 for each additional remote. You can program up to eight remotes total.</li> <li> Step 5: Exit Programming Mode Turn the key to the OFF position and remove it. Test each remote to confirm functionality.</li> </ul> If Your Vehicle Does NOT Have DIC Buttons: <ul> <li>Step 1: Access the Relearn Menu via Trip Odometer Ensure the vehicle is in Park. Turn the ignition to the ON position (without starting the engine). Press the trip odometer reset stem repeatedly until “RELEARN REMOTE KEY” appears on the display. </li> <li>Step 2: Activate Programming Mode Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for three seconds until “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE” is shown. </li> <li>Step 3: Program the First Remote Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote for approximately 15 seconds until you hear a chime. </li> <li>Step 4: Program Additional Remotes Repeat Step 3 for all other remotes to be programmed. </li> <li>Step 5: Exit Programming Mode Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key. Test all remotes for successful operation. </li> </ul> Additional Considerations: <ul> <li>Remote Limit: A maximum of eight keyless remotes can be programmed to this vehicle. </li> <li>Confirmation Sound: Listen for a chime to confirm successful programming of each remote. </li> <li>Restarting the Process: If no chime is heard, or if the vehicle does not respond, restart the procedure from the beginning. </li> <li>Battery Check: Ensure the remote’s battery is in good condition before programming.</li> </ul>
