Programming Instructions for 2008 Mazda B-Series Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2008 Mazda B-Series supports on-board programming for keyless entry remotes. This process allows up to two remotes to be programmed in a single session. Timing is critical, so complete each step without delays.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Ensure all doors are securely closed, and the ignition is turned off.
- Step 2: Open the driver’s door, press the UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel, and leave the door open.
- Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition.
- Step 4: Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN (the position just before engine starts) eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the RUN position on the eighth turn. – The door locks will cycle, indicating the system has entered programming mode.
- Step 5: Within 20 seconds, press any button on the first remote. – The door locks will cycle, confirming successful programming.
- Step 6: Within the next 20 seconds, press any button on the second remote (if you have one). – The door locks will cycle again, confirming the second remote has been accepted.
- Step 7: Turn the ignition to the OFF position. – The door locks will cycle once more, signaling the end of programming mode.
- Step 8: Test all remotes to ensure they lock and unlock the doors correctly.
- Step 9: If programming fails, repeat the entire process from Step 1, ensuring that all timing requirements are met.
