<h1>2009 GMC Acadia &ndash; Adding Remote Fobs</h1> <p><font size="3"><b>System Type:</b> Uses DIC to Enter Programming Mode </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Step-by-Step Instructions:</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position, keeping the engine off. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Use the info button on the dashboard to scroll until you see the message &ldquo;PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press the SET/RESET button to enter the key learning mode. The screen will update to read &ldquo;REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Take the remote you want to program and press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Listen for a confirmation chime, which signals the remote has been programmed successfully. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote you want to program. The system allows for up to eight remotes. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: After programming is complete, turn the key to the OFF position and remove it from the ignition. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Test all remotes to ensure each one operates correctly.</font></li> </ul>
