<h1>2009 GMC Yukon &ndash; Remote Fob Programming Instructions</h1> <p><font size="3">Your vehicle supports onboard programming for keyless entry remotes. Choose the appropriate procedure below based on whether your Yukon is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>For Vehicles WITH Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine). </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Press the vehicle information button repeatedly until the display reads: &ldquo;PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press the set/reset button. The message will change to: &ldquo;REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: On the remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds. &ndash; A chime will sound when the remote has been successfully programmed. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote you wish to program. &ndash; Up to eight remotes can be programmed. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Test all remotes to confirm proper operation. </font></li> </ul> <p><b><font size="3">For Vehicles WITHOUT Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons</font></b></p> <p><font size="3"> Ensure the vehicle is in Park, and turn the key to the ON position (as far as it goes without starting the engine). </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Press the trip odometer reset stem repeatedly until the display shows: &ldquo;RELEARN REMOTE KEY.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for approximately three seconds. &ndash; The display will update to: &ldquo;REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: On the first remote, press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for about 15 seconds. &ndash; A chime will sound, confirming the remote has been programmed. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Repeat Step 3 for any additional remotes, up to a maximum of eight. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key to complete the process. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Test each remote to verify proper functionality.</font></li> </ul>
