Programming Guide for 2010 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Cadillac Escalade

Important Notice: The 2010 Escalade supports onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. A maximum of eight remotes can be programmed. Any remote not included during the current session will be erased from memory and must be reprogrammed at that time. Select the procedure below based on your vehicle’s configuration: Vehicles with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons Vehicles without DIC buttons (using the trip odometer reset stem)

Procedure A: Vehicles With Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons

  • Step 1: Insert the Ignition Key Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
  • Step 2: Access the Remote Relearn Option Press the Vehicle Information button repeatedly until the display shows: PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY
  • Step 3: Activate Learning Mode Press the SET/RESET button. The display will change to: REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE
  • Step 4: Program the First Remote Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first remote simultaneously. Continue holding for up to 15 seconds until a chime sounds, confirming successful programming.

Battery Condition: Ensure each remote has a working battery before beginning.

Chime Confirmation: A chime or lock cycle will confirm successful programming.

System Capacity: The vehicle supports up to eight remotes.

Time Requirement: The complete procedure typically takes just a few minutes.
