<h1>2010 GMC Sierra &ndash; Remote Key Fob Programming Instructions</h1> <p><font size="3"> The 2010 GMC Sierra offers two different methods for programming remote key fobs, depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>For Models With Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (engine should remain off). </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Press the Vehicle Information button until the display reads &ldquo;PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press the Set/Reset button. The display will then change to &ldquo;REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Take the first remote and press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. Hold for approximately 15 seconds, or until a chime sounds to confirm successful programming. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote. The system can store up to eight remotes during a single session. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Once all remotes are programmed, turn the key to the OFF position and remove it. Test each remote to ensure proper functionality. </font></li> </ul> <p><font size="3"><b>For Models Without Driver Information Center Buttons</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Press the trip odometer reset stem repeatedly until the message &ldquo;RELEARN REMOTE KEY&rdquo; is displayed on the instrument panel. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press and hold the reset stem for about three seconds until the display changes to &ldquo;REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.&rdquo; </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: On the first remote, press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together for roughly 15 seconds. A chime will sound to confirm programming is complete. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for all additional remotes. A maximum of eight remotes can be programmed. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Turn the key to OFF, remove it from the ignition, and verify that each remote operates correctly.</font></li> </ul>
