<h1>2010 GMC Sierra – Remote Key Fob Programming Instructions</h1> The 2010 GMC Sierra offers two different methods for programming remote key fobs, depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons. For Models With Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons <ul> <li>Step 1: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (engine should remain off). </li> <li>Step 2: Press the Vehicle Information button until the display reads “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.” </li> <li>Step 3: Press the Set/Reset button. The display will then change to “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 4: Take the first remote and press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. Hold for approximately 15 seconds, or until a chime sounds to confirm successful programming. </li> <li>Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for each additional remote. The system can store up to eight remotes during a single session. </li> <li>Step 6: Once all remotes are programmed, turn the key to the OFF position and remove it. Test each remote to ensure proper functionality. </li> </ul> For Models Without Driver Information Center Buttons <ul> <li>Step 1: Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. </li> <li>Step 2: Press the trip odometer reset stem repeatedly until the message “RELEARN REMOTE KEY” is displayed on the instrument panel. </li> <li>Step 3: Press and hold the reset stem for about three seconds until the display changes to “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 4: On the first remote, press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together for roughly 15 seconds. A chime will sound to confirm programming is complete. </li> <li>Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for all additional remotes. A maximum of eight remotes can be programmed. </li> <li>Step 6: Turn the key to OFF, remove it from the ignition, and verify that each remote operates correctly.</li> </ul>
