The procedure depends on whether your vehicle is equipped with Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons or not. No diagnostic equipment is required for this process. Programming Procedure For Vehicles with Driver Information Center (DIC) Buttons: <ul> <li>Step 1: Enter the Driver Information Center Menu Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine). Use the vehicle information button to scroll through the menu until you see: “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY.” </li> <li>Step 2: Begin Programming Mode Press the SET/RESET button. The display will change to: “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 3: Program the First Remote Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first remote simultaneously for about 15 seconds. – A chime will sound when programming is successful. </li> <li>Step 4: Add Additional Remotes Repeat Step 3 for each additional remote. Up to eight remotes can be programmed. </li> <li>Step 5: Exit Programming Mode Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key. Test all remotes to ensure proper function. </li> </ul> For Vehicles Without Driver Information Center Buttons: <ul> <li>Step 1: Access the Remote Programming Menu Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) and turn the ignition to the ON position (without starting the engine). Press the trip odometer reset stem until you see: “RELEARN REMOTE KEY.” </li> <li>Step 2: Activate Learning Mode Hold the trip odometer reset stem for approximately three seconds. The display will change to: “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.” </li> <li>Step 3: Program the First Remote Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote at the same time for about 15 seconds. – A chime will confirm successful programming. </li> <li>Step 4: Program Additional Remotes Repeat Step 3 for all additional remotes. A maximum of eight remotes may be programmed. </li> <li>Step 5: Exit and Verify Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key. Test each remote to verify operation. </li> </ul> Additional Considerations: <ul> <li>Remote Capacity: You may program up to eight keyless remotes.
